Electric mobility start-up, ‘Etrio’ has introduced the Touro Max and Mini in the Indian market strengthening the brand’s portfolio in the electric three-wheeler space. The new electric three-wheeler range of products under the Touro marque will cater to the cargo segment and both the variants, the Touro Max and Touro Mini are focused on intra-city logistics especially in last-mile delivery applications. The Touro moniker derives its inspiration from ‘Toro’ which means Bull in Portuguese. The brand further explains that the design also reverberates with the marque’s name and attributing to the strong body design and stability of the three-wheeler along with its power and load-carrying capacity. The brand also revealed that the Touro will be completely localized making it eligible for central and state government subsidy.
The Touro electric three-wheeler not only adds to the brand’s retrofitted range but also provides customers with a cost effective mobility solutions. The brand also provides a best-in-class warranty on the batteries and power train to further minimise the anxiety. Furthermore, the Touro also brings various best in the segment features including hydraulic brakes with regenerative braking, independent suspension, cloud-based vehicle tracking equipped with a driver mobile app etc.
The cloud-based technology employed on the Touro allows the e-commerce operators to supervise and monitor the real-time status of each vehicle including its usage and charging level. Fleet operators can easily identify the misuse of vehicles or rash driving patterns and suitable countermeasures can be put in place, giving them complete control over the Touro. The Etrio Touro Mini is powered by a 2.5 kW peak power motor coupled to a 4 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack that allows the Touro Mini to achieve a top speed of 25 kmph and a max payload of 400 kgs. The Touro Max is powered by an 8 kW peak power motor paired to a 8 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack allowing a payload of 550 kgs and top speed of 45 kmph.
The brand is also working closely with B2B customers like LetsTransport, Amazon, Big Basket, Ikea to customise the product operational basis. Touro Max and Mini are going to be available on both sales and leasing options. The brand has also announced that it will be launching the passenger variant of the Touro soon in the Indian market. The company has raised close to USD 3 Million of funding to facilitate these launches.
