Electric Hyundai Creta interiors revealed in spy shots

Written by Kanad Kalasur

Spy images of the upcoming electric Hyundai Creta have surfaced online. This time, we have gotten a glimpse of the interiors. The Creta EV is likely to be positioned against the MG ZS EV and the Mahindra XUV400.

Hyundai Creta EV Interiors

The Creta EV gets a familiar interior. It is more or less same as that of the regular Creta save for a few changes. Firstly, the electric Creta comes with a smaller 8-inch screen with physical buttons and knobs. Hence it could be a lower variant.

We can also see that there is a new AC control unit. The panel appears to be new and there are bigger knobs as well. Further the display is bigger as well. The dial on the top could be a mode selector for the drivetrain. This is because an EV doesn’t need a physical gear level as such.

The electric Creta also gets an electric parking brake. The driver gets the same steering wheel, but there appears to be a new driver instrument cluster. It is an all-digital instrument cluster and could get EV-specific graphics.

It features an electronic parking brake. Steering wheel is the same and behind it is a new instrument cluster. This instrument cluster seems to be a fully-digital unit as opposed to semi-digital one on the outgoing ICE model.

Other details of the Hyundai Creta EV

The Creta EV was seen at a charging point, hence we can see a charging indicator. There is also an auto-dimming IRVM along with a dashcam.

Creta EV India Launch Timeline

An earlier spy shot of the Creta EV revealed that it was being charged through the engine bay. But once the production variant arrives, we expect the SUV to get a dedicated charging flap. Talking of the architecture, the Creta EV most likely use the localised and re-engineered version of the E-GMP platform. But we can expect Hyundai to make some changes based on the Indian road conditions. As for the launch, maybe we could see the Create EV make its debut next year or early 2025.
