Electric Honda Activa, an electric scooter with a swappable dual-battery unit, yes, you heard it right. Honda has recently launched a new teaser for its new Activa E-scooter, showcasing that the e-scooter has a dual battery unit with swappable batteries, under the seat. This significant feature that Honda has introduced will allow the riders to ride with two battery backup options so that if one battery gets exhausted, it can be easily replaced with the other one.
The majority of people are switching to electric scooters as it is a pocket-friendly option, saving you from the rising liquid-fuel expense and also giving a sense of responsible step towards the environment. But the major issue faced is the restriction to mobility due to short battery range life and the hassle of charging it after every certain kms. However, Honda’s electric Activa, with its new feature, will now enhance agility and flexibility, especially for urban riders who can cover long distance and save time.
The Activa E-scooter is going to be launched on November 27, 2024, at an estimated price of around 1 lakh to 1.20 lakh. Apart from swappable dual-battery options, it also offers various other features. It is likely to come with a TFT instrument cluster, LED headlamps, 12-inch alloy wheels, tubeless tires, telescopic front forks upfront suspension, and a preload adjustable mono shock absorber at the rear. In the braking area, it will have a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. It will compete with ongoing electric scooters in the Indian market such as the Ola S1, TVS iQube, Ather 450X, and the Bajaj Chetak Electric.
