EICMA 2024! Royal Enfield launches Interceptor Bear 650 in India at INR 3.39 Lakh

Royal Enfield unveiled the Interceptor Bear 650 at EICMA 2024, marking a significant addition to its 650cc lineup. The new scrambler-styled motorcycle is priced at INR 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powertrain and Features

The Interceptor Bear 650 is powered by Royal Enfield’s familiar 648cc parallel-twin engine, which produces 47bhp and 56.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. The motorcycle features a 2-into-1 exhaust system, contributing to its distinctive sound and appearance.

One of the standout features of the Bear 650 is its revised and strengthened chassis. It is suspended with Showa USD big piston forks at the front with 130mm travel and Showa Twin tube shocks at the rear with 115mm travel. The bike sports a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel fitted with dual-purpose tyres, enhancing its off-road capabilities.

Braking duties are handled by a 320mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the rear, both aided by a switchable dual-channel ABS. This allows riders to switch off the rear ABS for a bit of fun on trails and gravel.

The Bear 650 also boasts a full LED lighting setup and a TFT display with Google Maps integration, USB-C charging, location tracking, and trip reports. The motorcycle is available in four regular color options – Boardwalk White, Petrol Green, Wild Honey, and Golden Shadow, with a special edition called Two Four Nine.
