KTM has once again raised the bar for high-performance motorcycles with the unveiling of the new 1390 Super Duke GT at EICMA 2024. Known as the “Long Distance Beast,” this latest model is designed to deliver an exhilarating riding experience with enhanced power and cutting-edge technology.
The 1390 Super Duke GT is powered by a 1,350cc LC8 V-twin engine, which produces a beastly 190 bhp at 10,000rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. This engine, shared with the 2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO, features a centrally positioned ram air intake, an improved air box, and a wider radiator, all contributing to its enhanced performance.
The new Super Duke GT boasts a radical redesign, featuring an all-new signature LED headlight, a sleek brake light with integrated turn signals, and a lower profile chassis. The bike also has aggressive yet usable footpegs and a 796 mm long handlebar that can be rotated for a more sports-oriented riding position or comfortable touring.
The bike is equipped with WP APEX Semi Active Technology (SAT) suspension components, which enhance stability and agility. The braking system includes Brembo Stylema monoblock calipers clamping onto 320mm floating discs at the front and a Brembo twin-piston floating caliper with a 240mm disc at the rear. The bike also features various ABS modes, including Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS.
The 1390 Super Duke GT comes with an 8.8-inch TFT touchscreen dashboard, offering a simplified menu, seamless smartphone connectivity, and additional functionalities like Offline Map Navigation. The bike also includes Comfort Mode for a smoother long-ride experience and Adaptive Cruise Control for enhanced safety.
KTM aims to capture the high-performance sport-touring market with the new 1390 Super Duke GT. The bike is designed to offer both thrilling performance on the track and comfortable long-distance touring. Pricing and availability details are yet to be announced, but the bike is expected to be available at authorized KTM dealerships soon. Yes, it will be coming to India too.
