KTM has revealed the 390 Enduro R at the EICMA 2024 show. This new addition to the KTM lineup is designed to conquer the toughest terrains, promising top-notch performance for off-road adventurers.
The KTM 390 Enduro R is powered by the same 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is found in the KTM 390 Duke. This engine generates 46 PS of power at 8,500rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, delivering a robust and reliable performance suited for off-road conditions. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch, providing smooth gear transitions.
The chassis of the 390 Enduro R has been specially designed to handle rough terrain. The bike features WP XPLOR front forks and a WP PDS rear shock, both fully adjustable to ensure maximum stability and comfort during off-road rides. The suspension setup offers a generous travel distance, allowing the bike to glide over obstacles with ease.
One of the key highlights of the 390 Enduro R is its 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel, both fitted with knobby tires designed for off-road use. This setup enhances traction and control, making it ideal for tackling rocky trails and muddy paths. The bike also comes equipped with a high-mounted exhaust, which adds to its rugged appearance and ensures it stays clear of water and debris during rides.
The design of the 390 Enduro R is both functional and visually appealing. It features a tall windscreen, a narrow seat, and sharp bodywork that reflects KTM’s signature styling. The bike also includes a full-color TFT display, providing essential information at a glance. The display is compatible with KTM’s My Ride connectivity system, allowing riders to connect their smartphones for navigation and music.
KTM has positioned the 390 Enduro R as a direct competitor to other popular adventure motorcycles, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. With its advanced features, powerful engine, and robust build, the 390 Enduro R is set to attract a significant following among off-road enthusiasts.
