To make the riding position more comfortable for the rider, the bike gets a lower seat height of 790 mm and changed footpeg positioning. Also the fuel mapping of the bike has been changed in accordance with the Euro 5+ emission norms and the intake system has been updated as well. Changes in the rear sprocket have also been made and the earlier 40 teeth unit shifts to 41 teeth unit, giving the bike a quick acceleration.

Powertrain and Features

At the feature front, Honda gets a new LCD Display, LED lighting and ESS (Emergency Stop Signal). Apart from this no changes in its motor has been done. The bike continues with its 471 cc parallel twin, liquid cooled DOHC engine that generates 45.9 bhp at 8500 rpm and 43.4 Nm of torque at 6250 rpm. The kerb weight of the bike is 191 kg. It has disc brakes at both front and rear. It has a wet multiplate, slip and assist clutch. And has a ground clearance of 155 mm. Well there is no confirmation about whether the bike will be launched in India any time soon, however, the international markets will soon witness its launch.

Will it Come to India?

Honda did not launch the previous version here which points to the likelihood that the bike would not make it here. On the flipside, the growing popularity of Scramblers in the Indian market could make Honda rethink their strategy and bring launch the CL500. We too think that this would make a great option in the sub-500 cc segment.
