Ducati revealed the new Ducati V2 engine with advanced components and variable valve timing. The new engine is also lighter than before by a significant amount. Ducati has also revealed that the 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 will be equipped with the new engine. But that’s not it, the new Ducati Panigale V2 not only comes with a new engine but also gets its design inspired by the Panigale V4.
At the EICMA 2024, Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer Ducati unveiled the new Panigale V2. The motorcycle comes with a new sharper design language. While the design draws inspiration from the larger Panigale V4, the new Panigale V2 still gets its unique set of design features on its fairing. The side fairing also gets a pair of ducts that are likely to act as heat extractors. This will allow the engine to maintain cooler temperatures at low city speeds. The fascia also gets new LED headlamps with angrier DRLs. The tail section also draws inspiration from the Panigale 1199R and gets twin upswept exhaust.
Powering the 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 is the new 890cc 90-degree V-Twin engine with IVT (Intake Variable Timing Control) system. The engine develops 120 Hp of power and 93.3 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine comes with advanced parts such as chrome plated hollow valves, DLC coated finger followers, and a a racing lubrication system that reduces the resistance of the moving parts. The engine is now 9 kgs lighter than the previous Superquadro engine. It is also 5.8 kgs lighter than the Testastretta Evoluzione engine.
While Ducati has not yet revealed if the new Panigale V2 will arrive in India, the brand is likely to bring the motorcycle to Indian streets next year. Expect the 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 to come with a price tag of around INR 20 lakh ex-showroom.
