Electric two-wheeler mobility platform eBikeGo will be launching Muvi e-scooter in the Indian market. The Mumbai-based company will rent out Torrot Muvi electric scooter in India similar to other electric scooters offered on its online platform. According to reports, eBikeGo has acquired rights to manufacture Torrot Muvi electric scooters in the Indian market. This leads us to believe that the Spanish brand will now be available in India at a competitive price, thanks to the localisation of parts.
Also, the company will be eligible to receive various central and state subsidies, that can be further forwarded to customers reducing the prices even more. Reports suggest that eBikeGo aims to acquire around 5% of the electric vehicle market through the Torrot Muvi. Torrot has already sold 30,000 Muvi electric two-wheelers in Europe proving that it is a Go-to-Market ready product.
Powering the Torrot Muvi is a 3kW electric motor equivalent to a 125cc scooter. The electric scooter comes with a range of up to 100 km in ECO mode and a maximum speed of 60 kmph. The electric scooter weighs just 85 kg at the kerb and is suitable for all age groups in Europe. The scooter comes with a seating capacity of two people and has an under-seat capacity that can accommodate a half or open helmet. The Muvi comes with a programmable and controllable app and claims to be an environmentally friendly and quiet way to get around town efficiently.
The Torrot Muvi comes with a rounded headlamp with a step-through design and large alloy wheels. The brand offers ergonomically designed seats for two and a generous footboard. The bike gets telescopic front suspension and a monoshock on the rear. Braking power comes from disc brakes on both the front and rear of the vehicle. The Muvi also comes with removable batteries that can be recharged anywhere. The bike also gets a 4-inch fully-digital dashboard with Remote diagnosis by APPĀ + Diagnosis OBD-1.
