Early 2019 launch confirmed by Benelli for TRK 502X & TRK 502

Benelli is getting grip again on the Indian big bike market after its separation with DSK. Now, the Benelli brand which is a partner of Mahavir Group’s Adishwar Auto Ride has confirmed that the TRK range of adventure motorcycles are on track for an Indian debut. Benelli has revealed that by Q1 of 2019, they will launch the TRK 502 & TRK 502X in India. These bikes will rival the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650 & Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS.

The Benelli TRK 502X & TRK 502 however are expected to be priced lower than competition, also because they come with slightly lower engine capacity. The Benelli TRK 502 is a touring motorcycle while the TRK 502X is more of an adventure tourer with spoked rims, knobby tyres and the likes. Both bikes mechanically will share components and body work.

Powering the TRK 502 twins will be a 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor producing 47 BHP of power and 45 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike will have a massive 20L fuel tank capacity for long riding range and at the front you will get a 50mm USD fork, a rear monoshock and dual-channel ABS via double 320mm front discs and 260mm rear disc.

Expect the pricing of the Benelli TRK 502 bikes to be in the range of INR 5 lakh ex-showroom, or a little above.
