Italian bike maker Ducati has announced a slew of launches for India. The company will launch nine new bikes this year. The new Ducati Scrambler 2G will go on sale from a price starting at INR 10.39 lakh.
Ducati has already announced prices for these nine new bikes. This early opening for configuration gives the opportunity for Ducatisti and potential clients to book their motorcycles in advance. Hence, they can now plan their purchase based on the timeline of the motorcycle’s arrival.
Further, the bike maker will also expand its presence in India by launching two new dealerships. These new models, first unveiled at the Ducati World Premiere 2023 include the like of Panigale V4 R, Streetfighter V4 SP2, Monster SP, Diavel V4, Multistrada V4 Rally, Scrambler Full Throttle 2G, Scrambler Icon 2G, Scrambler Nightshift 2G and the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini.
This new generation Ducati Scrambler is completely redesigned, yet carries the unmistakable Scrambler DNA. The new bike is over 4kg lighter than the outgoing model, thanks to many lightweight components like the bolt-on sub-frame and new engine bits.
Ducati has also offered LED headlamps as standard across the Scrambler range.
The bike comes with a new 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument cluster, with an optional Bluetooth module. This can display maps guidance and other notifications.
In terms of design, all panels on the bike have been revised. These include the tank, side panel, seat, and the swing arm. The motorcycle is available in three variants – Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift. Icon is the new entry level model. While the Full Throttle is the most sporty one. The Nightshift gets a flat handlebar and wire-spoke rims and is finished in the Nebula Blue paint shade.
Ducati is offering the 803cc, air and oil cooled, two-valve Desmoduo engine. In terms of power, the engine develops 73 BHP at 8,250 rpm and 65 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
