Italian luxury bike manufacturer Ducati has expanded its range by unveiling the latest 2022 Streetfighter V2 naked sports bike. Revealed via the 4th episode of the Ducati World Premiere web series, the Streetfighter V2 represents a “Fighter” attitude. Ducati has ensured to combine the sporty DNA of its Panigale V2 with the distinctive style of the Streetfighter. The brand has also implemented its successful “Fight Formula” borrowed from the Panigale V2 on the new Streetfighter V2. Ducati will offer the new Streetfighter V2 at its dealerships starting December 2021.
Inspired by the classic style elements found on its V4 predecessor, the new Streetfighter V2 features a new sharp design. At the front, the V2 sports a unique V-shaped DRL inspired by the infamous grin of the ‘Joker’. The new bike blends comfort and sportiness thanks to a revised seating position with high and wide handlebars.
Ducati has repositioned the footpegs for additional foot room and greater bike control during sporty or regular riding. Currently, the unveiled Streetfighter V2 features a ‘Ducati Red’ colour scheme on the cowl, fuel tank, and rear-seat panel. Ducati also offers the new Streetfighter V2 with LED headlamps and black rims to complete the look.
Powering the Streetfighter V2 is a 955cc, liquid-cooled, Superquadro engine producing 153 PS of power and 101.5 Nm of torque. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the bike features brand-new electronics, which include a 6-axis inertial platform. The system provides the rider with constant assistance to access the bike’s maximum performance without sacrificing safety.
The Streetfighter V2 uses the same exhaust system found on Ducati’s Panigale V2 located beneath the engine. The bike features an aluminium monocoque chassis with 43mm, fully-adjustable Showa front forks, and a fully-adjustable rear Sachs suspension. Along with an aluminium single-sided swingarm, the Streetfighter V2 features 5-spoke, 17-inch front, and rear alloy wheels. The bike sports an 845mm ride height with a wheelbase of 1465mm.
The new bike also showcases 120mm of front wheel travel and 130mm of rear-wheel travel. The Streetfighter V2 sports 320mm, dual front brake discs with 4-piston Brembo callipers and Bosch Cornering ABS for braking performance. At the rear, the bike features a single 245mm brake disc with a 2-piston cali[er and Bosch Cornering ABS.
Ducati offers the new Streetfighter V2 with three riding modes- Sport, Road, and Wet for added riding customization and convenience. Additionally, the bike features a 4.3-inch full TFT display with Ducati Multimedia System to offer extra rider convenience. The system allows the rider to take phone calls, receive messages and change songs via Bluetooth connectivity. Other standard features include Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Wheelie Control, automatic indicators, and tire calibration.
