Ducati reveals Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel variant

Ducati has pulled the covers off the new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” variant. The brand also reveals that the new motorcycle will be available in dealerships by July 2021. The Ducati Diavel 1260 and 1260 S is available on the Ducati Website, and the Configurator allows customers to view the accessories available for the power cruiser.

Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” – Design Inspiration 

The special edition variant follows the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini version, which debuted in the international market in November 2020. While the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini edition, in collaboration with the Sant’Agata Bolognese car manufacturer, the new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” draws inspiration from the Diavel “Materico” concept presented in 2019. The Diavel “Materico” concept came to light at the “Beautiful Boldness / Visionary Design” event during the Milan Design Week.

Subsequently, Ducati put it on display at the dedicated two-wheel design exhibition of MOARD (Motorcycle Art & Design). The brand also revealed that the new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” will be exhibited in a world premiere at the 2021 edition of the MIMO Motor Show between 10th and 13th June. 

Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” – Colour and Graphics

The Ducati Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” features asymmetrical but refined graphics. The bodywork features glossy grey and matte black colour options. The theme also consists of added sporty touches in yellow. This includes the frame, the lower part of the tail, a dedicated seat badge, and other details. The new Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” enhances the portfolio and adds the S version available in the “Thrilling Black & Dark Stealth” colour. The Diavel comes with a Dark Stealth colour with a black frame and black wheels in its standard form.

Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” – Engine Specifications

Powering the Ducati Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” is a 1,262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT engine. The twin-cylinder engine produces 162 Hpof power and 129 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter.
