Ducati has issued a new recall for one of its popular bikes. The Italian bike maker has voluntarily recalled the Panigale V2 for an issue relating to the LED headlamp. All the necessary information has been shared with affected owners as well as the appropriate authorities.
According to the recall notice, there is a chance that the main headlights might turn from low beam to just the DRLs being on when in auto mode. Owners of the affected bikes can get it fixed via a software update at their nearest dealership. Not to mention, this fix will be offered free of charge.
Coming to the design of the bike, the Panigale V2 draws inspiration from the larger Panigale V4. It has a sharp front fascia, with split headlamp units. These gets LED DRLs along with a windscreen. There are split seats with raised tail, a 4.3-inch colour TFT screen and an aluminium single sided rear swing arm.
Coming to the engine of this bike, it gets a BS6 rated 955cc L-twin cylinder engine. It gets 4 desmodromic valves per cylinder along with electronic fuel injection, two injectors per cylinder and ride-by-wire throttle system. The V2 also features a new compact exhaust, routed entirely underneath the engine adding to the motorcycles clean charecter lines.
The motor generates 155 HP and 104 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox with bi-directional quick shifter.
In India, the Ducati Panigale V2 is sold at an ex-showroom price of INR 20,27,000. The Panigale V2 comes in the traditional Ducati Red colour and comes with a range of apparel and accessories and bookings are open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Kochi and Ahmedabad.
