Ducati Multistrada V4 Vs. BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS – Price

The Ducati Multistrada V4 comes with a price tag starting at INR 18.99 lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, the BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS comes with a sticker price of INR 20.45 lakh ex-showroom. Bookings on both the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the BMW R 1250 GS are now open in India.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Vs. BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS – Engine Specification

Powering the Ducati Multistrada V4 is a 1158cc 90-degree Vee four-cylinder engine. The engine features a counter-rotating crankshaft and a Twin Pulse firing order. The new-generation engine features a part chain, part gear valvetrain and liquid cooling. The BS6 compliant engine produces 170 Hp of power and 125 Nm of torque. Powering the BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS is a 1254cc two-cylinder in-line BMW Boxer engine. The BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS features BMW Shiftcam technology, a variable camshaft control system. The engine produces 136 Hp of power and 143 Nm of torque.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 comes with an aluminium monocoque frame that rides a 50 mm fully adjustable USD fork. The bike also comes with a fully adjustable monoshock on the rear. The Multistrada V4 rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear light alloy cast wheels. The BMW G 1250 GS features a two-section frame with a bolt-on rear frame with a load-bearing engine. On the front, the R 1250 GS features a BMW Motorrad Telelever with a diameter of 37 mm stanchions with a central spring strut. The motorcycle also features a BMW Motorrad Paralever single-sided swingarm. The R 1250 GS also comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminium wheels.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Vs. BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS – Brakes

The Ducati Multistrada V4 features 320mm semi-floating discs on the front with radially mounted Brembo monobloc callipers. On the rear, the 265 mm disc with Brembo floating callipers and cornering ABS. The BMW R 1250 GS comes with a 305mm dual disc brake, with floating brake discs on the front. The rear comes with a 276 mm single disc equipped with BMW Motorrad Integral ABS Pro.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Vs. BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS – Weight, Seat Height & Tank Capacity

The Ducati Multistrada V4 tips the scales at 240 kg Dry, and the bike also comes with an adjustable seat height between 840mm to 860mm. The BMW R 1250 GS comes with 249 kg of weight and features 850 mm or 870 mm of seat height. With OE lowered suspension, the seat height can be lowered to 800 mm / 820 mm. The Multistrada V4 comes with a 22-litre fuel tank, while the BMW Motorrad R 1250 GS comes with a 20-litre fuel tank. Also, the Multistrada V4 comes with 1,567 mm of wheelbase, while the R 1250 GS comes with 1,514 mm of wheelbase.
