What’s New In The Ducati Monster SP?

Ducati has worked on the entire motorcycle, thus helping it shave off 2 kg from its kerb weight. Now, the Monster SP tips the scales at 186 kg when fully fueled up. This reduction of weight is due to the implementation of lighter componentry, such as the lithium-ion battery. Moreover, the equipped Brembo Stylema callipers, fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension front and rear, a steering damper and a road-homologated Termignoni slip-on exhaust also aided in the weight reduction significantly.

Ducati Monster SP Mechanical Highlights

The motorcycle uses the 937cc liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine. The performance output of the engine reads as 111 HP and 93 Nm. The gearbox in the motorcycle is a 6-speed unit. The rider also gets the benefit of a hydraulic clutch and a bi-directional quick shifter. For the braking Monster SP uses more premium Brembo Stylema units compared to the M4.32 monoblocs on the standard Monster. But the actual brake discs are the same size as the standard trim at 320mm.
