Italian luxury motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has launched its latest Panigale V4 SP super sports bike for the Indian Market. Ducati has used the ‘SP’ (Sport Production) initials on the motorcycle, which first debuted on the Ducati 851. Ducati has opened the bookings for the new Panigale V4 SP in 9 major metro cities of India. With deliveries starting immediately, the cities include Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, and Chennai.
Ducati has priced the new Panigale V4 SP at the price of INR 36.07 lakh (ex-showroom), which differs from the Panigale V4 S. Ducati has implemented its unique “Winter Test” livery inspired by the Ducati Corse bikes. The motorcycle manufacturer used these bikes in pre-season testing of the MotoGP and SBK championship series. The Panigale V4 SP sports a matt black colour scheme on the fairings, rims, and wings. The exposed aluminium fuel tank features bright red accents.
Powering the Panigale V4 SP is a 1103cc, Desmosedici Stradale, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine which produces 215 PS of power and 124 Nm of torque. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the hydraulically controlled slipper dry clutch features Ducati Quick Shift technology for smoother gear shifts. The Panigale V4 SP sports an aluminium alloy “Front Frame” chassis with a 43mm, fully-adjustable, Ohlins NIX30 front fork suspension.
At the rear, the bike sports an aluminium single-sided swingarm with a fully-adjustable Ohlins TTX36 suspension. Ducati offers the bike with 5-spoke, 17-inch carbon wheels, which are 1.4 Kg lighter than forged aluminium wheels. The wheels aid in reducing rolling inertia, which enables the rider and the biker to make agile direction changes.
The bike features dual 330mm front brake discs with 4-piston Brembo callipers and Bosch Cornering ABS for braking performance. At the rear, the bike sports a single 245mm brake disc with a 2-piston calliper and Bosch Cornering ABS. The bike sports a front and rear wheel travel of 120mm and 130mm, respectively, thanks to the rider-focussed suspension.
Focusing on safety, Ducati offers the Panigale V4 SP with Sport, Street, and Race riding modes along with LED headlamps. Additionally, the bike features integrated LED DRLs, Quick Adjustment buttons, automatic indicators, racing-style handle grips, and a chain guard. Ducati offers standard features such as a carbon fibre mudguard, adjustable aluminium rider footpegs, and a carbon fibre heel guard. Other features include a Billet aluminium steering stem with a 5-inch TFT display with Ducati Multimedia System (DMS).
