Disney Mickey Mouse Edition Vespa scooter revealed

Piaggio and The Walt Disney Company have announced a new special project. As part of the Disney100, the company’s 100th Anniversary celebrations, the Mickey Mouse Edition Vespa pays homage to the brand’s 100th year.

Disney Mickey Mouse Edition Vespa : More Details

No other Walt Disney character is as iconic as Mickey Mouse. Hence, Vespa has a design themed limited edition models based on the character. To this end, Vespa has launched the Primavera in black, red, white and yellow colours. The scooter bears unmistakable iconography of Mickey Mouse along with the shapes and colours associated with it.

The wheels are finished in yellow, which match Mickey’s shoes. The mirrors meanwhile are finished in black which resemble his round ears. There is also a graphic pattern on both sides of the scooter. This outlines the character’s shape on the sides as well as the front portion. The unmistakable signature of Mickey Mouse is located on the front shell as well as the saddle.

Piaggio will also offer a matching helmet with the Disney Mickey Mouse Edition Vespa scooter.

Vespa Primavera : More Details

The Disney Mickey Mouse Edition will be offered in the Vespa Primavera 50cc, 125cc and 150cc scooters. In the 150 guise, the scooter gets a 3 valve air-cooled engine. This is rated at 13 HP @ 7,750 rpm and 12.8 Nm of peak torque @ 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a CVT gearbox.

It is not yet known if Piaggio plans to launch this limited edition scooter in India.

Meanwhile, in an aim to target the new breed of Gen Z riders, Vespa has an answer in form this Vespa Dual range. The two-wheeler maker has brought in the Vespa Dual scooter range to spice up its portfolio. With new colours and graphics, Vespa is adding that visual appeal liked by Gen Z. The range for this scooter starts from INR 1.32 lakh (ex-sh) for 125cc VXL variants and it goes to INR 1.49 lakh (ex-sh) for 150cc SXL variants.
