Electric mobility solutions company Detel claim that the company in April 2021 plans to introduce the World’s Most Economical electric vehicle for the B2C segment. The Detel Easy Plus electric two-wheeler made its debut at the India Auto Show 2021 in Mumbai last week under the ‘Detel De Carbonise India’ initiative. The new electric scooter aims to disrupt the EV segments especially in tier 2 and 3 markets and Detel claims that the EV is a perfect balance between the price and modern needs of the Indian customers. Furthermore, the company also plans to launch a commercial e-vehicle – Detel Easy Loader by the end of the year 2021.
The Detel Easy Plus will be available in four colours – Yellow, Royal Blue, Teal Blue and Royal Blue. The EV is in-line with the Government’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat campaign and enjoys the benefits of various campaigns from the Government of India to promote the sales and adoption of electric vehicles in the Indian market. The Detel Easy Plus strengthens the Government of India’s plan to propagate the local production and sales of electric vehicles in the Indian market as well as exports to other international markets.
The Detel Easy Plus comes with a neo-retro rounded headlamp with chrome accents, upright handlebars, slim LCD dashboard, minimalist body design, telescopic front fork suspension, large alloy wheels, a generous footboard, beach seats etc. Unfortunately, the brand not yet revealed the technical specifications of the e-scooter but the Detel Easy Plus could be based on the World’s Most Economical Two-Wheeler – Detel Easy. Powering the Detel Easy is a 250W electric motor coupled to a 48V 12AH LiFePO4 Battery Pack that claims to deliver 60 km on a single charge and a top speed of 25 kmph. The battery takes 7 to 8 hours to recharge.
Detel Foundation also provides a tree to the customer as a token of appreciation to help contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.
