Citroen C3 was launched earlier this year in July. However, it comes with some missing features which customers have been sorely missing. Now, spy images of the car reveal that the carmaker might be considering adding these features soon.
Some of the key features missing are the rear wiper and wash system. The rear wash and wipe serves an important feature, especially on the hatchbacks, as the rear window tends to get dirty more so, especially in the monsoons.
The car also lacks alloy wheels. They are considered to be an important cosmetic upgrade in this segment. No one wants steel rims these days. Especially since the alloys offer a much premium look to the car. They are also lighter than steel rims and improve the wheel’s unsprung weight, thereby aiding in dynamics.
The spy shots reveal a new rear wiper, a rear washer nozzle, a rear window defogger and a set of alloy wheels as standard. At present, the alloys are offered as an accessory at the dealer level. There may also be some more feature additions on the inside.
It still needs to be clarified how these features could be offered on the current line-up. The C3 is offered in two variants, and could Citroen add a third top-of-the-line variant with these features? The Live variant gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine that churns out 82 HP, as well as the turbocharged version with 110 HP. The top-spec Feel variant comes with only the turbocharged option.
The Citroen C3 is priced from INR 5,88,000 to INR 8,15,000. There is certainly some wiggle room to add a new variant in between these prices, but Citroen might also consider increasing its margin by introducing a new higher priced variant.
