French car manufacturer, Citroen had planned its debut in the Indian market with the C5 Aircross SUV but due to the COVID-19 pandemic Citroen’s plans were pushed to 2021 and the brand finally made it official by revealing that the Citroen C5 Aircross will debut on 1st February 2021. Now the brand has announced that the brand’s flagship SUV the C5 Aircross has rolled out of their production plant in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.
The brand has also revealed that the C5 Aircross has been tested in the Indian market for more than 2.5 lakh kilometres in varied climatic conditions as well as the diverse Indian terrain. The Citroen C5 Aircross also boasts to offer a ‘Flying Carpet Effect’, part of the brand’s Citroën Advanced Comfort Programme. The Citroen Flying Carpet Effect claims to deliver a comfortable ride even on the bumpy road conditions using the Citroen exclusive Progressive Hydraulic Cushion equipped suspension system.
The C5 Aircross also features ‘Cocooned in Comfort’ environment which uses Acoustic Windscreen & Front Window glasses, memory foam equipped seats, reclining & modular rear seats that offer a stress-free travel environment. The ‘Panoramic Life’ cabin with a panoramic sunroof and an airier cabin with brighter and relaxing view of the scenery outside. The Citroen C5 Aircross also features ‘Intuitive Technologies’ such as a 12.3-inch Digital Driver Display, an 8-inch Infotainment Touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration as well as Phone Mirror function. The C5 also comes with Blind Spot Monitoring System, Park Assist feature which steers the vehicle automatically and the driver only has to control the brake and the accelerator. Other functions include a Foot Operated Electric Tailgate, Engine Stop & Start function, a powerful 2.0 litre Diesel Engine matched to an 8-speed with Shift and Park by wire control technology.
Citroen has also announced that the brand has launched the first La Maison Citroën dealership network, in the city of Ahemdabad and more such dealerships across key cities of India.
