Citroen could be planning to being in a new crossover sedan model on the Indian market. The C3X shares its platform with the C3 and the C3 Aircross is likely to arrive in the coming weeks. If launched, the Citroen C3X will rival the upcoming Tata Curvv crossover in the Indian market. In addition to this, the C3X will also go head to head with the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virus and the Hyundai Verna in the Indian market. Stellantis also plans to introduce a full-electric version of the C3X by 2025.
Citroen C3X – Design
The C3X comes with a coupe-style body design which will be quite new for the Indian market in the particular segment. The sedan crossover features a sloping roofline that ends at the tailgate, similar to a notchback design. Furthermore, the C3x also features a rugged body cladding similar to what one would find on an SUV. Also, the crossover treatment includes raising the ride height of the coupe crossover.
Powering the C3X is likely to be the same a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. The engine produces 110 Hp of power and 190 Nm of torque. The crossover sedan is likely to comes with 6-speed manual and optionally an automatic gearbox. While the C3 Aircross claims a mileage of around 18 kmpl the crossover coupe is likely to deliver a similar efficiency.
Citroen is likely to offer the C3X will features such as LED headlamps, electric folding mirrors, push-button start, keyless entry, cruise control, automatic climate control, wireless charging, etc. Speculation is that the C3X will arrive on roads in India by the June of 2024. Following its launch the brand is also likely to introduce a fully electric version of the C3X at the beginning of 2025.
