We recently reported about the Chevrolet Enjoy getting engine replacements at dealer level, without a word to the customer, which makes things sound a little fishy. Now, reports suggest that the General Motors brand, Chevrolet has also begun silently recalling the Beat hatchback to fix some issue.
The recall is said to affect only the petrol powered variants of the Beat hatchback. Reason, accumulation of electrostatic discharge in the nonconductive fuel pipe. This recall accounts for cars manufactured before 31st July, 2010.
Chevrolet is reaching out to customers via letters to get their cars checked at the nearest service station and parts will be replaced free of cost.
If you’ve not received a letter, but you have purchased a Chevrolet Beat around 2010, it is a good idea to give your service station a visit.
