Back in September, Suzuki launched the GP Edition of the Hayabusa. Now, the Japanese bike maker has launched a limited edition called Bol d’Or version of the bike in France. It will be limited to just 100 units.
Suzuki has made not just cosmetic changes but also some performance enhancements to this limited edition. For starters, it gets a Akrapovic exhaust system, which makes just lovely sound when riding around. The Suzuki Hayabusa Bol d’Or also gets a larger racing windscreen which helps reduce the wind for the ridden when riding in fully-tucked positon.
At the back, the Hayabusa gets a sporty seat cowl on the pillion seat. It gets a sportier saddle, which is flatter than before as well. The tail has been shortened and the brake as well as clutch levers have been upgraded.
The engine too gets extra carbon fibre protection on the crankcase, anodized bits as well as a SERT Factory Workshop aluminium number plate confirming the rarity of each of the 100 limited edition bikes. Owners will also get a Hayabusa branded rug to park the bike on.
The Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine. The engine makes 188 BHP and 150 Nm of torque. The gearbox is a six-speed unit and it also gets a two-way quick-shifter as a standard fitment.
The Bol d’Or is an iconic 24-hour motorcycle racing event held in France. It has recently completed its 100th anniversary. Suzuki, along with Honda and Yamaha are regulars at this event and had quite a success too in the EWC. Hence Suzuki decided to release a limited edition Hayabusa to celebrate this iconic race.
Suzuki has priced this limited editon bike at Euro 27,499 (INR 22,61,435). Customers who are interested in this machine can order only from the Suzuki Smart Buy, which is the online platform to purchase Suzuki bikes in France.
