UBCO has launched the 2X2 Special Edition Motorcycle. The all-electric bike comes with motors on both wheels making it all-wheel-drive. UBCO makes small electric two-wheelers that are catered to overloading as well as suitable to take with you on camping trips or carry it on your RVs or pick-ups.
Compared to the regular UBCO 2X2, there are some new features and visual upgrades. While the new colour and graphics might look like the only change, the bike maker has added some new racks and storage options.
The Special Edition comes with multiple storage options. These include colour-matched weather proof and detachable bags, a 12-litre tote bag that sits in front of the seat as well as a rear 30L folding bag. The rear bag gets an expansion option that allows transportation of bigger yet flatter cargo.
These are apart from the front and rear racks along with handlebar mounted options. It now comes with a Peak Design phone mount and Pronghorn straps to secure cargo that won’t fit in the bags or the racks.
UBCO also says that they have reworked the brakes. They now claim that the 2X2 offers motorcycle level braking pads with better brake levers.
The powertrain remains the same as before. It gets dual hub motors – one on each wheel. The 2X2 Special Edition continues to get the same 3.1 kWh battery which has a 120 km range along with a top speed of 50 km/h. The battery can be charged in 4-6 hours using the included fast charger.
UBCO has priced this limited edition of the 2X2 at INR 5.80 lakh in the international markets. The company will make only 1,000 units of this bike which will all be numbered as well.
