American automaker Chevrolet has unveiled the new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in the North-American market. The brand has announced that the company will begin production of the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 by mid-2022. The pricing of the car will also be revealed when the brand commences the deliveries on the new Corvette Z06. However, the brand revealed that the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 would come with a roadster as well as a convertible.
The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 comes with a sharp front fascia with sleek sweptback headlamps. The headlamps also come with thin tube LED DRLs offering a unique light signature. The sportscar also comes with a wide air dam with black inserts and wide air intakes on the front. The front apron also features a sharp splitter to enhance the aerodynamic efficiency of the car. The Corvette features air intakes from the sides and a large spoiler on the rear. Higher-specification models also come with multiple carbon fibre enhancements on the exteriors and interiors.
The Chevrolet Corvette comes with dual-cockpit type interiors. The dashboard is driver-focussed and features a large full-colour instruments cluster. The car also comes with a driver-oriented central touchscreen infotainment display. The Corvette comes with contoured seats for the driver and passenger. The Z06 also features a carbon fibre bridge-like centre console with a row of buttons.
Powering the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a 5.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine. The engine produces 670 Bhp of power and 623 Nm of torque. The engine with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Chevrolet claims that the Corvette Z06 is can sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. The Z06 also comes with a 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels shod with specially developed Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tyres. The Z06 will also come with carbon-ceramic brakes as an option.
