Check out the all-electric Mini Cooper

Mini has revealed the 2024 Cooper E and Cooper SE. These all-electric versions of the popular brand will be the way forward for the company.

What’s new in the Mini Cooper?

The new Mini Cooper E and SE come with a new minimalistic design on the outside. This includes new LED headlights and tail lights. The cars also come with flush-fitting door handles. Meanwhile the company has removed the wheel arch claddings and the chrome elements to give the car a simple look.

On the inside, the same minimalistic theme is carried over. New for the interior includes a large circular central infotainment display, updated dashboard design, vertical AC vents, an optional head-up display and more.

The driver gets steering mounted controls while the cabin comes with premium upholstery.

Powertrain of the new Mini Cooper

Mini is offering a 40.7 kWh battery on the Cooper E. This variant is paired with a single motor that is rated at 184 BHP and 292 Nm. This gives the car a 0-100 km/h time of 7.3 seconds with a maximum range of 305 km on a single charge. The range numbers are based on the WLTP cycle.

Meanwhile, the more powerful SE variant comes with a 54.2 kWh battery and a motor rated at 218 BHP and 329 Nm. The Cooper SE will sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds with a range of 402 km (WLTP cycle).

Mini is also offering fast charge capabilities on the all-electric Cooper. Both the E and SE variants come with 75 kW and 95 kW fast charging capabilities respectively. This means, the 10-80 percent top up will take 30 minutes.

Mini Charged Edition

Mini has launched the new Mini Charged Edition. This is a limited edition version based on the Cooper SE trim. The company is importing only 20 units of the car and has priced the car at INR 55,00,000, ex-showroom.

The Mini Charged Edition is the first limited edition of the 3-door version of the Cooper SE. It comes with a Chili Red paint job with a white roof. The outside trim, door handles and logo are finished in Aspen White. The outsides also feature Stripes in Frozen Red paint along with Energetic Yellow highlights on some areas like the bonnet, boot and the sides. The car rides on Mini Electric Power Spoke 17-inch alloy wheels.
