Check out the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Explorer

Suzuki Italia has announced a new version of the V-Strom 650. Dubbed as the Explorer, the bike gets a host of factory accessories that are designed exclusively for the V-Strom.

What’s new in the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Explorer?

To get on and off the big bike more easily, Suzuki has equipped the MY23 V-Strom Explorer with a centre stand amongst others. It also gets crash bars, touring windscreen along with colour coordinated hard panniers for luggage storage.

Suzuki is offering the Explorer version on both the V-Strom and the V-Strom 650XT. The latter comes with wire spoke rims.

In terms of colour options, the V-Strom is offered in a choice of three options – Blue, White and Black. That said, those opting for the V-Strom 650XT Explorer will get an additional Yellow option as well.

Powertrain of the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Explorer

Suzuki has equipped the adventure bike with a 645 cc, V-twin engine that meets the Euro 5 emission norms. This motor generates 70.72 HP @ 8,800 rpm and a peak torque of 62 Nm @ 6,300 rpm.

Value proposition of the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Explorer

The Explorer kit can be purchased separately as well, however it would cost around US$ 1,794. However, Suzuki is asking a premium of just US$ 211 for all this kit. Hence it is a no brainer to pick up the Explorer version.

Features of the 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Explorer

All variants get a 19-inch front wheel with a 110/80-section tyre and a 17-inch rear wheel with a 150/70-section tyre. Suspension and brakes are also identical across the variant lineup. The V-Strom 650 range comes with 43mm telescopic forks at the front with preload adjustability. The rear uses a link-type monoshock with rebound adjustability as well as a remote preload adjuster. As for the brakes, the V-Strom 650 uses twin 310mm discs at the front with Tokico 2-piston callipers. At the rear, it uses a 260mm disc with a Nissin single-piston calliper. Dual-Channel ABS is standard across the range.
