2023 Suzuki SV650 – Technical Specifications
Powering the SV650 is a 645cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-Twin DOHC engine. Sounds familiar? This is because the same engine also powers the V-Strom 650 that we get in India. The engine makes 72 BHP of peak power and 64 Nm of torque. The engine sends power to the wheels using a 6-speed gearbox.
The output figures put it directly up against the Kawasaki Z650 RS. For reference, powering the Kawasaki Z650 RS is a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The Z650 RS output figures read as 67.3 BHP and 64 Nm of torque.
The SV650 uses 41mm telescopic forks at the front with 125mm of travel. At the rear, it gets a link-type monoshock with 63mm of travel. Additionally, the rear shock also gets 7-step preload adjustability. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises twin discs at the front with 4-piston callipers and a single disc at the rear with a single-piston calliper. Dual-Channel ABS is also available as an option. The SV650 uses 17-inch wheels with 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear Dunlop Road Smart III tyres.
