KTM has showcased the 2023 RC 8C limited edition motorcycle. The track-only supersport bike will be sold in the international market. KTM has overhauled the bike mechanically as well as visually. It gets a new paint scheme, upgraded aero package, new electronic features, better weight saving and high-end components.

Performance of the 2023 KTM RC 8C limited edition

The engine is tuned to make additional power. For the 2023 version, the motorcycle makes a peak power of 133 BHP @ 11,000 rpm and 98 Nm of peak torque @ 8,250 rpm. The bump up of 6.9 BHP is thanks to new modifications like the use of lighter titanium valves and conrods, two piston rings, higher compression ratios, a larger throttle body and a bolstered fuel pump. KTM has also increased the clutch preload, removed the top balancer and adjusted the crankcase balancer shaft to achieve better durability. Additionally, a PANKL oil cooler has also been added to help with the thermal stability of the engine.

The 2023 KTM RC 8C has also gone on a diet. It now has a dry weight of just 143 kg. New parts like the titanium Akrapovic exhaust system have contributed significantly towards weight saving.

Now, riders will be able to adjust the traction control, engine mapping and engine braking as per their requirement. The bike can also be fully customised as per the choice of the rider in aspects like the steering head adjustment and throttle response, along with the bite of the Brembo Stylema callipers and the RCS19 Corsa Corta master cylinder. The driver display console gets a revamped dashboard with a new GPS data logger and KTM RC16-derived handlebar switches. It also gets a reverse pattern of the race Quickshifter+.

Availability of the KTM RC 8C limited edition

The Austrian manufacturer will create only 200 units of the 2023 RC 8C. Each unit will come with a unique serial number stamped on the triple clamp.
