One of India’s upcoming technology-driven EV Charging Network companies CHARGE+ ZONE has announced its electrification plans for the future. The company has successfully electrified over 1000 km of National Highways in India by setting up twenty unmanned, app-driven EV charging points. This network has been placed along the Gujarat-Maharashtra National highway, via which the company has successfully cracked two operating models. This includes the Dealer Owned Company Operated (DOCO) and Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) Models for Public Charging Network on Highways.
CHARGE+ ZONE has deployed its charging stations across convenient and strategic locations along the national highways of India. These stations are Rapid DC charging points with a CCS2 charging protocol that caters to electric four-wheelers in India. The company has designed the charging stations to enhance personal and public e-mobility, fulfilling its goal of electrifying National and State Highways. CHARGE+ ZONE described its plans of covering 10,000 Km of Highways throughout the country within the next 3-5 years.
These stations can provide upto 80 % charge in 45-60 minutes and a full charge in 90-120 minutes, depending on the battery’s size. These plans resonate with the company’s aim of building a robust EV network with 10,00,000 charging points by 2030. The charging network will also help in changing the perception of EVs amongst customers and address range anxiety issues. CHARGE+ ZONE has simplified the availability of energy for fulfilling long-term goals and acts as a catalyst for green mobility transition.
CHARGE+ ZONE has installed its charging station at key locations on highways connecting Mumbai, Nashik, Ahmedabad, Surat, Navsari, and Rajkot. Since its inception, CHARGE+ZONE has created an active B2B and B2C network for EV charging stations for fleet/retail customers. It has set up 1250+ charging points across 650+ EV charging stations serving around 4000 EVs on a daily basis.
In December 2019, CHARGE+ZONE launched India’s first Fast Charging Network for e-buses, where 125+ Ashok Leyland e-buses receive daily charging. Therefore, these buses utilise 7 Fast Charging Hubs across 3 Indian cities for Intra-city Public Transportation, enhancing convenience and mobility. In December 2021, the company signed an MoU with the Government of Gujarat to install 10,000 charging stations.
