Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has pulled the covers off its 250 CL-X motorcycle that borrows inspiration from the 700 Cl-X. CFMoto announced that it will launch the motorcycle in China and then introduce it in international markets during 2022. The brand has implemented a neo-retro design on the bike, borrowed from its elder sibling with unique looks. The entry-level bike also sports excellent performance thanks to being a more accessible version of the premium 700 CL-X.
The entry-level bike from CFMoto sports a sharp-looking front face with a round LED headlamp, and a big LED DRL. Along with a muscular yet chiselled fuel tank, the bike sports circular-shaped rearview mirrors to enhance its retro appeal. Additionally, CFMoto has equipped the bike with a dual-tone paint scheme which consists of body graphics and colour-coordinated outer rims.
The brand will offer the new 250 CL-X in Nebula White and Nebula Black colour schemes with yellow/blue highlights. Additionally, the bike also sports colour-coded headlamp bezels, a single-piece stepped-up seat with a ribbed pattern, and a side-mounted exhaust. Other details of the 250 CL-X include the X-shaped LED taillamp, rear tyre hugger, and 17-inch, multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Powering the new 250 CL-X is a 250cc, single-cylinder motor that develops 27.6 PS and 22 Nm. CF-Moto is likely to pair the motor with a 6-speed manual gearbox that sports a slip-and-assist clutch, similar to other rivals. The manufacturer has also equipped the bike with inverted telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock to enhance comfort and handling. In terms of braking, the new 250 Cl-X sports disc brakes on both ends will also offer ABS. CF Moto has also equipped the bike with an LCD instrument cluster to ensure that it’s a well-rounded package.
Currently, CFMoto offers 4 motorcycles for the Indian market, including 300NK, 650NK, 650GT, and 650MT. CFMoto has not confirmed whether it will introduce the new 250 CL-X in India, which can become a noteworthy addition. The 250 CL-X can compete with the KTM 250 Duke and Husqvarna 250 Twins- Svartpilen and Vitpilen if priced smartly.
