CFMOTO reveals 500SR Voom retro sports bike

CFMoto has revealed the 500SR retro sports bike in the international market. The Chinese brand will soon be launching the motorcycle in its home market as well as other countries. However it is highly unlikely to make it to our country. In the past CFMoto did bring its portfolio to India with the launch of four motorcycles. But the branded not updates its line-up in India when the stringent BS6 norms were introduced.

CFMoto 500SR Voom – Design

The CFMoto 500 SR Voom features a Neo-Retro look. The motorcycle features rounded LED DRLs with start-up animation. The LED DRLs also feature twin air intakes and rounded LED headlamps. On the front the fairing has sharp cuts and crease lines plus a rounded nose and an old school design windscreen. The front fairing and headlight unit features a 1980s sport bike theme which reverberates well with its bar-end mirrors. The bike also comes with beefy side panels and a raised muscular fuel tank.

On the rear, the motorcycle gets rounded LED taillamps and rectangular indicators. Furthermore, the Voom also features twin high-mount exhaust pipes and a raised rear seat. The rider’s seat is quite scooped and gives the rider the feeling of sitting inside the motorcycle. The low seat and clip ons are also likely to offer an ergonomic and comfortable riding triangle. Furthermore, the footpegs appear to be mildly rear set.

CFMoto 500SR Voom – Features

The instruments panel on the CFMoto 500SR Voom is a full colour display that offers a plethora of information. The motorcycle is likely to come with features such as a power and torque graph. Also, the display shows information such as the tyre pressure, time, coolant temperature, fuel read out, gear, speed and rpm. The motorcycle is likely to come with a 500cc in-line four cylinder engine and the specifications of the motor are likely to be revealed soon.
