Previously, we spoke about CFMoto a Chinese motorbike manufacturer which plans to bring its products to India. And now a CFMoto 650GT sports tourer has been spotted for the first time in India. The pictures lead us to believe that the brand is planning a launch soon.
CFMoto plans to bring the 300NK, the 650NK and the 650MT in India. The 650NK and 650MT were spotted testing earlier in India. But CFMoto also plans to launch the sports tourer version of the bike, the 650GT.
The 650GT is based on the 650NK, the street naked bike and the 650MT the adventure tourer bike. It is powered by an inline twin-cylinder, 649.3cc, liquid-cooled, 8-valve, DOHC engine with a Bosch electronic fuel-injection system.
Both the above engines will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox, and are only tuned differently via the Bosch EFI system.
The CFMoto 650GT features a tall touring visor, LED headlamps, a larger ergonomically designed split seat, a conventional front fork and a monoshock on the rear.
The CFMoto bikes that have been brought to India and stored in the crates, as seen in the pictures, are most likely here for homologation process with the ARAI. Other boxes with CFMoto branding are also present in the same warehouse and may contain the other bikes as well as spare parts.
CFMoto is expected to launch the 300NK, 650NK and the 650MT and two more variants namely 650GT and 400NK later this year. CFMoto is expected to showcase all 5 models during their launch in the coming weeks.
Bengaluru based AMW Motorcycles will be looking after the CFMoto operations here in India and import CFMoto bikes via the CKD route and assemble them at AMW’s Hyderabad facility. The CFMoto 650GT will rival the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and is expected to be competitively priced around INR 5.5 lakh Ex-Showroom.
