BYD has launched the all-new BYD eMAX 7 in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 26.90 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has announced that the BYD eMAX 7 will come in two trims – Premium & Superior. In addition to this, the company also revealed that the eMAX 7 will get a 6-seater as well as 7-seater variants. The all-electric MPV also comes with an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty, 8-year/150,000 km motor & motor controller warranty as well as a 6-year/150,000 km DC Assembly, electric control assembly and OBC warranty in the Indian market. Booking for the BYD eMAX 7 are now open, and customers can book the new eMAX 7 by putting down an amount of INR 51,000.
The successor of the popular BYD e6, which is the company’s first all-electric passenger vehicle in the Indian market, is based on the 3.0 e-platform offering varied seating options. For India, BYD is bringing the eMAX 7 with a 6-seater (2+2+2) seating and a 7-seater (2+3+2) seating options. Also, the BYD eMAX 7 comes with four colour options – Cosmos Black, Crystal White, Harbour Grey and Quartz Blue. On the inside, the BYD eMAX 7 comes with Brown and Black dual tone interiors.
Powering the BYD eMAX 7 are two powertrain options depending on the trim. The Premium trim comes with a 120 kW / 163 PS power electric motor coupled to a 55.4 kWh battery pack that returns a range of 420 km on the NEDC charge cycle. The Superior trim comes with a 150 kW / 217 PS power electric motor coupled to a 71.8 kWh battery pack that claims to return a range of 530 km on a single charge, according to the NEDC cycle. Both the powertrains generate 310 Nm of torque. Both powertrains are capable of achieving a top speed of 180 kmph and 0-100 kmph time for the Premium stands at 10.1 seconds and Superior can achieve the same in 8.6 seconds.
The BYD eMAX 7 comes with features such as a new Dragon Face design with sleek Crystal Diamond floating LED headlamps and DRLs and Speedy Dynamic 17-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the BYD eMAX 7 gets a Panoramic Glass Roof with 1.42 square meter viewing area. The car also gets a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment system and 5-inch multi-information display for the driver. For safety, the BYD eMAX 7 also comes with 6-airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and more.
The BYD eMAX 7 measures 4710mm in length, 1810mm in width and 1690mm in height. The MPV also comes with a 2800mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 170mm. The car offers a boot space of 180-litres with all the seats in the upright position and 580-litres with the 3rd row folded.
