BYD In India And Its Plans
The entry of automaker BYD, which stands for ‘build your dreams’, in the mass market in India could be a detrimental moment in the country’s nascent electric vehicle journey. BYD overtook Tesla to become the largest EV maker in the world in the third quarter this year, but there is a catch. A significant number of its vehicles are hybrids that count as EVs, unlike the American carmaker, which only makes pure battery electric vehicles.
Yet the entry of BYD means a lot for the Indian market. With the demand running high for EVs across the country. BYD will aim to make the most out of it and attract more customers to its showrooms. The company is already a pretty established EV maker in the global market. And hence, with all the experience and global expertise, BYD has big plans for the Indian market.
