Under the BSA brand, the company now retails the new BSA Gold Star 650 which has India’s biggest single-cylinder engine. The Gold Star 650 also features classic design which the British brand is known for, but gets a modern touch in the engine department as well as upgraded electronics. Powering the BSA Gold Star 650 is a 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that produces 45.6 PS of power and 55 Nm of torque. The engine is matched to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The motorcycle comes with a right side up front fork suspension with cover tubes and twin shock absorbers on the rear with 5 step preload adjustment.
The BSA Gold Star 650 comes with a wheelbase of 1425mm and a seat height of 782mm. The motorcycle weighs in at 201 kgs at the kerb, making it 12 kgs lighter than its competitor, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Braking power comes from 320mm front and 255mm rear Brembo disc brakes with dual channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle rides on 100/90-18 front and 150/70-17 rear tyres on tube type spoke wheels.
The BSA Gold Star comes with features such as twin analogue instruments cluster with a digital multi information display, USB charging outlet with both standard and Type-C ports. The BSA Gold Star 650 is available in 6 colour options – Highland Green, Insignia Red, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, Shadow Black and Legacy Edition – Sheen Silver.
The BSA Gold Star 650 is available at Jawa Yezdi showrooms across India with a starting price of INR 2,99,990 ex-showroom, Delhi. While the top of the line Legacy Edition comes with a price tag of INR 3,34,990 ex-showroom, Delhi.
