Suzuki has launched the new BS6 compliant version of the V-Strom 650XT ABS at the price of INR 8.84 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS is offered in two colour options – Champion Yellow No. 2 and Pearl Glacier White. Suzuki has also announced that the BS6 V-Strom 650XT ABS will be available at all Suzuki big bikes dealership across India.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS is powered by a BS6 emission-compliant 645cc 90-degree V-Twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC motor with Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection system and dual spark ignition that belts out 70 BHP of power and 62 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS is positioned in the middleweight adventure touring segment and comes packed with equipment and features that allow both the highway touring and exploring unchartered terrain. The brand claims that the Suzuki V-Strom provides a natural riding position, a flexible engine character and comfortable seats.
The adventure motorcycle comes with Suzuki Easy Start System, multi-function instruments panel, LED taillamps for greater rear visibility at night time and on long highways, lightweight Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for optimum braking and safety, a lightweight aluminium twin-spar frame that provides steady handling and manoeuvrability and a three-mode traction control system (2 Mode + OFF Mode) for safe intervention as well as full ability to give the rider complete control.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS also features 43mm hydraulic front fork suspension with coil springs and an oil-damped link-type spring preload-adjustable rear suspension, 320mm twin floating discs with Tokico twin-piston callipers on the front and a single 260mm disc on the rear with Nissin single-piston calliper. The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS also come with a 19-inch spoked front wheel and 17-inch spoked rear wheel shod in tubeless tyres.
In terms of dimensions, the adventure tourer measures 2275 mm in length, 910 mm in width, 1405 mm in height, 1560 mm of the wheelbase and a features a commanding saddle height of 835 mm which is not too tall and inspires confidence even among shorter riders. The V-Strom 650 XT ABS tips the scales at 216 kg and comes with a large 20-litre fuel tank that enables long highway tours.
