Kawasaki India confirms that the brand will commence deliveries on the BS6 compliant Ninja 300 soon. This is the most affordable Kawasaki in India. The changes include mechanical upgrades which make the motorcycle complaint to the stringent emission norms. Now the BS6 compliant Ninja has a sticker price of INR 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model is INR 20,000 more expensive than the BS4 Ninja 300. Kawasaki is offering the motorcycle with three new shades, Candy Lime Green, Lime Green with KRT graphics and Ebony. Interestingly, Kawasaki Ninja is also available on sale via e-commerce giant Amazon.
The motorcycle gets a 296cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine which makes 39 HP of power and 26 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a six-speed transmission and a slipper assist clutch. The suspension system features conventional telescopic forks at the front and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. The front tyre measures 110/70 R17 while the rear tyre measures 140/70 R17. The braking system consists of a 290 mm disc in the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. The electronic fuel injection system uses very fine-atomising injectors thus enabling a smooth and responsive torque across the entire rev counter. Kawasaki’s assist and slipper system decreases the back torque during aggressive downshifts, preventing the rear tyre from skidding.
The motorcycle continues to use a diamond steel tube frame with high tensile strength. To provide a comfortable ride, Kawasaki uses an innovative radiator fan that throws the hot air away from the rider. A sporty semi-digital instrument gives all the riding related information. The dual-channel ABS ensures that the motorcycle delivers the best handling even in the most demanding situation. The deliveries will commence soon and the updated Ninja 300 will be available across all the Kawasaki outlets in the country.
