Bookings open for Tata Altroz DCA, dual clutch automatic

Indian automotive giant Tata Motors has announced the opening of bookings for its all-new Altroz DCA across the country. Following its ‘New Forever’ vision, Tata Motors has finally unveiled the Dual Clutch Automatic version of the premium hatchback. Tata Motors claims that with this new transmission, the Altroz will offer the best performance for tackling Indian driving conditions. Customers can book the Altroz DCA for INR 21,000 by visiting their nearest Tata Motors authorised dealership.

2022 Tata Altroz DCA: New Updates & Details 

Tata Motors claims that it has designed the all-new advanced Dual Clutch Technology keeping the Indian customer in mind. The new wet clutch transmission will now offer a seamless driving experience for customers, in turn offering the best performance. Tata Motors also states that the new Altroz DCA will set the Gold Standard for automatics offered within the segment.

The automaker will offer an all-new Opera Blue colour scheme on 3 variants of the Altroz DCA – XT, XZ, and XZ+. Tata Motors also stated that the Altroz DCA would also join its #Dark range with deliveries starting from mid-March 2022. The Altroz DCA will also include its standard colours like Downtown Red, Arcade Grey, Avenue White and Harbour Blue.

About the Tata Altroz & its features 

Since its launch in January 2020, the Altroz has received an overwhelming response amongst Indian owners, thanks to multiple attributes. Along with its style and sophistication, the Altroz offers the best-in-class safety due to the 5-star Global NCAP crash rating. With its ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture, the Altroz comes with 3 engine options and multiple premium features. The first is the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated motor producing 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque.

The second is the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol motor with 110 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. Finally, the Altroz uses the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel motor, which produces 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Prior to the introduction of the new DCA transmission, Tata Motors only offered a 5-speed manual transmission on the Altroz. In terms of features, the Altroz sports cruise control, automatic headlamps, iRA connected car tech, and a 7-inch infotainment system.
