Bookings open for Enigma electric motorcycle, claims 140 km range

Enigma EV has announced that the electric motorcycle company has opened bookings for the new Enigma motorcycle in the Indian market. The brand plans to launch the new cafe racer style bike in India soon. Also, the new bike will come with a fully electric powertrain and 100% localisation. This will allow the brand to benefit from the FAME II subsidies that the government is offering for the adoption of electric two-wheelers in the country. The brand is likely to unveil the electric motorcycle during Diwali, which will help the brand garner more sales by leveraging the festive season.

Enigma Electric Motorcycle – Design Highlights

The Enigma electric cafe racer will come with a rounded headlamp, along with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. The bike also gets a flat bench seat with a hump on the back. The motorcycle gets flat side panels and side covers on the battery pack of the motorcycle. The Cafe Racer features clip-on handlebars and chopped front and rear fenders. The motorcycle also comes with bobber style tyres and telescopic front suspension with rubber boots. The retro-style bike also features twin-coil suspension on the back and rides on spoked wheels.

Enigma Electric Motorcycle – Powertrain

Powering the Enigma Electric cafe racer is a 72V 50 Ah LifePo4 Lithium Ferrous Phosphate battery pack that powers a 5.6 kW electric motor. The power unit is capable of propelling the electric car to a top speed of 136 kmph and a range of 140km on a single charge. The high power battery and the motor will allow the electric motorcycle to keep up with ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) powered counterparts. The battery is also capable of recharging from 0-80 per cent in three hours. Also, the battery can recharge fully in about 4 hours, reducing the range anxiety of the customer.

Currently, Enigma EV retails a range of electric scooters in the Indian market available from the brand’s official website.
