Tata Motors has announced booking details for the newest entrant into the EV lineup, the Tiago.ev. The electric hatchback is on sale at a special introductory price. This starts from INR 8.49 Lakh (All India – Ex-showroom). Noteworthy to mention this is only for the first 10,000 customers. Of these 2,000 will be reserved for the current owners of Nexon EV and Tigor EV.
Bookings And Delivery Timeline
Tata Motors confirmed that the bookings for Tiago.ev will open on 10th October at around 12:00 noon. Customers can avail of this booking by paying an amount of INR 21,000, at any authorized Tata Motors dealership. Moreover, customers can also log on to Tata Tigor.ev’s official website for online booking options.
The company further confirmed that the dealerships will put Tiago.ev on display across leading malls across major cities starting in October 2022. Customer test drives will most likely start in late December 2022, onwards. The delivery timeline as given by Tata Motors will commence from January 2023 onwards. Furthermore, the time, date variant, and color chosen shall determine the waiting period for the vehicle. Tata mentioned that the production of 24kWh battery pack variants has been prioritized as per the customer insights.
What Is The Tiago.ev?
Based on the Ziptron technology, the Tiago.ev stands hold on to 5 key pillars. As per Tata Motors, these are Performance, Technology, Reliability, Charging, and Comfort. The EV also benefits from multi-mode regen, and two drive modes – City and Sport. Tata Motors claims a Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC) range of 315km for the 24kWh battery. Meanwhile, the 19.2kWh battery pack is ideal for short and frequent trips, delivering an estimated MIDC range of 250km.
Features On Offer
The Tiago.ev also benefits from a category-first telematics feature, which is a standard fitment across all trims. The hatchback also gets up to 45 connected car features. Key features include leatherette seats, a contrast roof, fully automatic climate control, projector auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and cruise control. Based on the GNCAP 4-star rated Tiago, the Tiago.ev is among the safest hatchback out there. Customers have five color options to choose from namely, Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Midnight Plum, and Tropical Mist.
