Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the all-new Ertiga. This new generation model is set to be launched on 21st November 2018, and pre-launch bookings are now being accepted for INR 11,000. The Ertiga is a popular choice for MPV buyers and the new model promises more. Obviously, this new Ertiga will also be a 7-seater car.
Based on the 5th generation HEARTECT chassis, the new Ertiga will be lighter, safer, stronger and be better in the NVH department. In times of a crash, the crash energy will be absorbed and dispersed effectively in a way to keep the occupants safe.
Some of the features which Maruti Suzuki mentioned for the new Ertiga include LED tail lamps, projector headlamps as seen in the image, new dashboard design, better luxury feeling, dual tone interiors and many other cosmetic as well as mechanical changes. The new 2018 Ertiga will also come with an all-new K15 petrol engine under the hood, which we’ve seen in the Ciaz facelift already. The diesel motor will be the familiar DDiS 200 block.
Both the petrol and diesel engine options will come with SHVS (Smart Hybrid) technology.
Maruti Suzuki first launched the Ertiga in our market in 2012. Since, it has sold 4.18 lakh units of the Ertiga and the new generation model is expected to do even better.
