Big news from BMW India. The German carmaker has delisted the X6 from its official website. This hints that the model may no longer retail in the Indian market. As of now, there’s no official statement from BMW India just as of yet.
BMW X6 Key Highlights
BMW had brought in the ’50 Jahre M Edition’ of the X6 just a few months back. Customers can also have the SUV in xLine and M Sport trims.
The BMW X6 was positioned above the X5, as a more stylish and premium alternative. The SUV got a distinctive exterior with a coupe-like roofline. The 50 Jahre M Edition also got the Adaptive M Suspension, M-Sport exhaust system and M Sport brakes as standard. BMW X6 came with 4-zone automatic climate control, sports seats, wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof to name a few.
In India, the X6 used the 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine. This motor made 335 BHP and 450 Nm. The equipped gearbox is an 8-speed automatic transmission unit.
Interestingly enough, there is no official word from the company about the discontinuation of the BMW X6 SUV.
BMW X4 Also Delisted From BMW India’s Website
Earlier in January 2023, BMW also pulled the plug of the BMW X4. BMW X4 came with two trims – xDrive30i and xDrive30d powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 3.0-litre diesel engine, respectively. The former made 248 BHP and 350 Nm. Meanwhile, the latter made 282 BHP and 650 Nm torque. Positioned between X3 and X5, the SUV was available in Silver Shadow, Black Shadow and 50 Jahre M Editions.
