BMW has launched the BMW X1 20i Tech Edition in the Indian market at INR 43 lakh ex-showroom price. The new Tech Edition X1 20i will add to the brand’s already broad premium compact SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) segment. BMW also revealed that the brand would locally produce X1 20i Tech Edition at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. The brand will retail the X1 20i Tech Edition in limited numbers, and the bookings are now open through BMW’s official website.
BMW X1 20i Tech Edition – Engine Specifications
Powering the BMW X1 20i Tech Edition is a 2.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine. The engine produces 192 Hp of power and 280 Nm of torque. The BMW X1 20i Tech Edition motor also comes with a 7-Speed Steptronic Sport transmission with a double-clutch gearbox. The car also comes with BMW Driving Experience Control modes – ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT.

The BMW X1 20i Tech Edition features signature BMW SAV design language that embodies a dominant and powerful character. The muscular SUV gets precisely drawn lines and contoured surfaces. The car comes with an imposing appearance thanks to the larger BMW Kidney Grille design. Flanking the hallmark grille are LED headlights and air intakes to improve the thermodynamics of the SUV and LED fog lamps. The car also features wrap-around LED rear lights, a wedge shape formed by the roofline, and inlays in body colour. The Tech Edition will also come with bigger exhaust pipes and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The BMW X1 20i Tech Edition comes with an intelligent vehicle structure and boasts of having a smartly conceived interior configuration. The brand claims that the BMW X1 20i Tech Edition comes with ample room for all occupants. The SUV comes with features such as a large Panorama Glass Roof, Ambient Lighting with six dimmable designs, 40:20:40 split backrest, electric seats for both driver and passenger with memory function. The car also comes with a new 10.25-inch Central Information Display with an iDrive controller, wireless Apple CarPlay and navigation. The X1 20i Tech Edition also gets Wireless Charging, BMW Head-Up Display and 205W HiFi music system.
