BMW has introduced the First Edition variants of the BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition. The brand will be releasing only 250 examples each. The brand has also announced that orders for the special-edition cars, are now open. The two special-edition SUVs have been produced at BMW Spartanburg Production Facility in the US. The X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition will be powered by a Euro5 spec 625 Hp twin-turbocharged V8 mills along with M-specific suspension and M xDrive all-wheel drive.
The BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition come with exclusive BMW Individual Frozen Dark Silver special paint finish and BMW Individual Frozen Marina Bay Blue special paint finish. The special-edition models are offered with M light-alloy wheels in star-spoke design with a Jet Black, high-gloss finish. The exterior styling features M Carbon exterior mirror caps for the two special-edition models, M Carbon rear spoiler for the new BMW X6 M Competition and M Carbon engine compartment cover is likewise part of First Edition specification.
The high-tech Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic bit also continue to the interiors of the X5 M Competition and the X6 m Competition, that include market specific interior trim strips depending on the market. “First Edition 1/250” applied to the carbon fibre strip before the application of a clear coat seal. Also, interior trim strips are specified, the model badge on the cover for the cup holders has the same design.
The interiors also come with BMW Individual Merino full leather trim in exclusive bi-colour Silverstone/Midnight Blue ensuring interior and BMW Individual paint finishes, black Alcantara inserts in the seat bolsters and contrast stitching in Sakhir Orange on the sporty M multifunction seats. The door panels and instrument panel also features contrast stitching as well as BMW Individual headliner in Alcantara in midnight blue.
