BMW reveals new generation X3 SUV

BMW has unveiled the new-generation BMW X3 in the international markets. The BMW X3 comes with an enhanced sporty appeal and claims to be more versatile than ever. The premium mid-sized sports activity vehicle now comes with dynamic new exteriors, high quality materials on the interiors and advanced digitalisation. The new BMW X3 will make its market debut in the 4th quarter of 2024 in the Europe and USA followed by other markets in January 2025. While BMW has not announced the arrival of the new X3 in India, the brand is likely to launch the SUV in the first of 2025.

Size

Now in its 4th generation, the BMW X3 is now bigger than its predecessor. The 2025 X3 is now 34mm longer than the previous model and measures 4,755mm in length. The car is also 29mm wider than before with 1920mm of width and 25mm lower than before at 1660mm.

Exterior Features

In terms of its exterior features, the new BMW X3 comes with a large BMW Kidney grille. The grille is also available with the BMW Iconic Glow and LED headlamps with adaptive functions. The car also gets a bold roofline bringing out the sporty character of the vehicle. The brand is also offfering the new BMW X3 with a new exterior colour – Dune Grey Metallic.

New Interiors

On the inside, the BMW X3 gets the new BMW Curved Display and BMW Interaction Bar. The cockpit of the new BMW X3 is also driver focused and features newly designed electrically adjustable and heated sport seats upholstered in Econeer. Other luxurious materials for the upholstery are also available as an option.

Powertrain

BMW will be offering the new X3 with a 299 Hp, 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with electric motor integrated into the 8-speed Steptronic transmission. The powertrain is also capable of offering an electric range of 81 km to 90 km. In addition to the plug-in hybrid model, the X3 also gets a 398 Hp, 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo engine with 48V mild hybrid technology.
