BMW reveals 2-Series Gran Coupe sedan facelift

BMW’s smallest sedan just got a lot more stylish. The German automaker has rolled out a facelift for the 2-Series Gran Coupe, and it’s all about that modern edge.

What’s New?

Up front, you’ve got a completely revamped look that’s right in line with BMW’s latest design trends. Think sharp, angular cuts and a wider, bolder dual kidney grille. Those new headlamps are sleek and upward-swept, giving the car a more aggressive vibe. The redesigned front bumper adds a bit more muscle to the mix with a broad chin, emphasizing the sporty stance. While the rear hasn’t changed much, the new tail lamps, inspired by the latest X2 and 1 Series, add a fresh twist and bring a cohesive look to the lineup.

Inside the Cabin

Inside, and you’ll notice a refreshed interior that screams modern luxury. The curved infotainment screen is the star here, integrating seamlessly with the dashboard for a sleek, minimalist look. The latest iDrive system powers the infotainment, bringing enhanced connectivity and user experience with improved graphics and responsiveness. The cabin materials have been upgraded, featuring high-quality finishes such as leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and refined trim options, enhancing the overall feel of luxury and sophistication.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the 2-Series Gran Coupe offers a range of engine options designed to cater to various driving preferences. The lineup includes a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. These engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The facelifted model also benefits from chassis tweaks aimed at improving handling and ride comfort, ensuring a dynamic driving experience.

Market Impact and Customer Reception

The updated 2-Series Gran Coupe is expected to attract buyers who are looking for a stylish and compact sedan with advanced features. The facelifted model’s design and interior upgrades are likely to appeal to both existing BMW customers and new buyers. The competitive pricing and strong brand reputation will further boost its market presence, positioning it well against rivals like the Mercedes A-Class sedan and Audi A3.
