BMW Motored recently launched the new CE 04 Electric Scooter in the Indian market. Now, the brand has begun teasing the CE 02 which is likely to arrive soon in India. BMW Motorrad from its official social media channels has posted a few teaser images which appears to be the CE 02 electric scooter. However, the brand has not yet revealed the launch dates of the same. But, expect the CE 02 electric scooter to make its India debut during this festive season.
The BMW Motorrad CE 02 has ben designed and developed under the TVS-BMW collaboration. Furthermore, the electric scooter is being manufactured at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur plant near Chennai, since October 2023. Now, the brand could be planning to launch the electric scooter as the demand for EVs in India is booming.
The BMW Motorrad CE 02 comes with a funky yet futuristic design with a small body and large wheels. The scooter also comes with an LED headlamp with a vertically stacked dual projectors and a C shaped LED DRL around the main beams. In addition to this, the electric scooter also comes with an upright handle bar and a flat bench seat. The foot rest are similar to a motorcycle and are mid-set for comfort. The CE 02 also comes with a 3.5-inch TFT, a sleek instruments cluster mounted slightly ahead of the handlebar.
Powering the BMW Motorrad CE 02 is a 15 Hp electric motor powered by a 2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is capable of returning a range of 90 km on a single charge. The CE 02 is also capable of achieving a top speed of 95 kmph. The brand is also likely to offer a 0.9 kW charger as standard with the CE 02, which takes 5 hours and 12 minutes to charge its batteries. Optionally, the scooter could come with a faster 1.5 kW charger. The bike will also get upside down front fork suspension and a mono shock on the rear. The CE 02 rides on 14-inch wheels shod in fat tyres.
