BMW Motorrad R 1250 RT Pro launched in India for INR 22,50,000

Brought to India as a CBU, BMW Motorrad has introduced the R 1250 RT Pro motorcycle priced at INR 22.5 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings are now open for this touring-spec motorcycle from the German manufacturer and this bike rivals the likes of Aprilia Tuono and MV Agusta Turismo Veloce. The BMW Motorrad R 1250 RT Pro is available in Option 719 Blueplanet metallic / Option 719 Sparkling Storm metallic body colour options.

Built for touring, the BMW R 1250 RT Pro has chrome accents on the handlebar weights and around the windscreen to give it a premium touch. Also, the paint lines on the motorcycle body are hand-drawn making every piece unique. One can also have an optional brown seat on the BMW R 1250 RT Pro. The bike comes with with a front spoiler for a distinct identity along with golden brake calipers, radiator covers & a stainless steel tank cover.

Powering the bike is a 1254cc, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Boxer engine producing 136 HP of power @ 7750 RPM and 143 Nm of torque @ 6250 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also gets ShiftCam technology for better use of power and torque throughout the revv range and even the pipe ducting on this model for the exhaust manifold is different, hinting that this is indeed a new engine and new model. BMW Motorrad claims a top speed of over 125 mph and a mileage of 50 mpg.

The BMW R 1250 RT Pro has 2 riding modes along with features such as stability control, ABS Pro, hill start control, central locking, Dynamic ESA, cruise control, GPS, heated seats and keyless access. The motorcycle sports a 5.7″ TFT colour display with an analogue speedometer and tachometer. Other features include adjustable gear shifter, heated grips, LED DRLs, LED tail lamp, traction control, LED turn indicators, steering damper, saddle bags in the bike colour, powered windscreen adjustment and more…
